# 16.1.0: Fewer hangs, less memory growth, and trusted-certificate caching

ReleasedReleased on September 15, 2026

In Chrome, Chromium, and Edge, your runs no longer hang indefinitely mid-execution, and memory no longer grows from service workers that held onto state after the browser closed. Cypress 16.1.0 also adds `trustedCertificates`, so self-signed and internal-CA certificates you declare now cache static assets across navigations.
