# Run Cancellation API (experimental): Cancel a run from CI and close it out right away

Cancel a recorded run from CI or your own scripts using the project ID and record key you already record with. Cypress Cloud marks the run canceled and fires its webhooks right away, so you don't wait for the Run Timeout when a newer commit replaces the run.
