What motivates you to be a Cypress Ambassador?
Cypress is my favorite testing tool and Im excited to learn more about testing, engage with the community, and share my knowledge!
How do you currently help others that are either using Cypress or interested in using Cypress?
At my company, we've adopted Cypress, and it's now widely used across many teams. One of the most enjoyable aspects of my job is helping others with their Cypress tests—whether it's troubleshooting issues, optimizing test strategies, or exploring new test cases to ensure better coverage and reliability.
What is your favorite Cypress feature?
Having Test Replay was a game changer for me when debugging failing tests. It provides far more insight than video playback alone, allowing me to see detailed API calls, browser activity, and other key interactions—making it much easier to diagnose issues efficiently.
What is your favorite "Cypress Best Practice" and why?
I’d say always prioritize user behavior over technical implementation details. Replicating how a real user interacts with the application is the best way to catch issues and ensure a more reliable, user-centric test approach.
Outside of work, what are your favorite things to do (hobbies, passions, etc.)?
I love watching sports, especially basketball, F1, and hockey. I also have a dog named Max, and I enjoy taking him on walks.
What is one professional milestone you are proud of? (an accomplishment, celebration, recognition, etc.)
One professional milestone I’m especially proud of was completing a project to overhaul my team's automated tests, which significantly improved reliability across the team. Another highlight was having the opportunity to speak at CypressConf!
For new users - what is the best way to "get started" with Cypress?
I’d say the best way to get started is to spin up a project and start writing tests. My first Cypress tests weren’t perfect, but over time, I learned the tips and tricks to writing solid, reliable tests through hands-on experience.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
"I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan
